Vinny Testaverde, Steve Young, Josh Freeman,

Looking at Tampa picking 5 QBs in the 1st rd, makes me wonder what team has used the most 1st rd picks on QBs?

Tampa did a good job of picking SB winning QBs for other teams.

I don't have the actual answer, but I know the Cleveland Browns drafted a LOT of Quarterbacks, three since 1999 in round one, most of whom sucked azz or have the potential of sucking butt.

1999- Tim Couch
2007- Brady Qunt
2012- Brandon Weeden

In other rounds:

2000- Spergeon Wynn (6th)
2004- Luke McCown (4th)
2005- Charlie Frye (3ed)
2010- Colt McCoy (3rd)

I think we all know about the QB carousel and what it does to your chance of winning Super  Bowls, it kills your chances of consistency. Occasionaly you find lightening in a bottle from the scrap heap: (Doug Williams, Steve Young) seems like Tampa does draft them but the Franchise sucks so bad they can't keep talent. The lone super bowl victory was from the Raiders coach Bill Callahan for being a complete jackass and not changing the playbook. Chuckie knew what was coming before the ball snapped.  I felt bad for Rod Woodson, would have liked him to get a second ring.

Here is a good link to save to your favorites, I use it for a variety of research.  To find the Browns QB I just clicked on position, then I just did a Control F  and entered in Browns.

Hopefully most of you are sitting down when you read this mock.

Cincinatti drafting 14th? I see them around 20, they have some talent and don't suck on D.

Pittsburgh drafting 21th and taking DeMarcus Milliner, CB Alabama over Manti Te'o. Yell

The Jets drafting after the Steelers. Bwahahahaha.

Baltimore drafting a TE at pick 28. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

TJ McDonald 28th?? and it gets worse, Eric Reed going 32nd to the Packers.  Does Charlie Campell realize the lack of depth at Safety in the 2013 draft??? You pass on Reid and McDonald and the next teir of safeties is rated well below them, too much of a gap to think both Safeties will last unitl the end of the 1st round.

Minnesota taking Keenan Allen 4th overall. I like him mid to late first, I don't think he compares to AJ Green or Calvin Johnson, which is what this early of a pick suggests. Robert Woods is going second! 2 WR in the first four picks, really?  What crack vial did this guy recycle?

Second round pick for Pittsburgh I also have to question, Sean Porter is on lighter side, the Steelers like the LB to be more stout. Even with the injury, I would take a shot at Shane Skov here, kid is just a football player. He can play inside, outside, run, pass, perfect fit for Tomlin and LeBeau.  Even though NFL draftscout has Porter as a late first rounder, I think Skov is more than a one trick pony. The roster already has Carter and Worilds, who might become something. Using a second rounder to sit third on the depth chart does not make much sense to me at all.  Skov replaces Foote eventually, prefferably they take Te'o in the first.

2013 is DEEP at cornerback, reminds me of 2011. So Charlies Campbells mock is out of whack. 4 CB going in the top 21 is not smart mocking at all.  Oday Aboushi OT, Virginnia going 26th only because Atlanta needs a tackle, that's a big reach.

Yeah, ny, if we draft Porter I would think he'd need to be played inside. His calling card is his speed and explosiveness, some of which would be lost if he gained weight. He's just not a pass rusher at the NFL level IMO.
