2009 Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper Sucks Thread

What are your thoughts on Bobbie Massie as the 1st pick. I don't think he should be the pick at 24 but a trade down might be our best option.
SF might need to move up to get the WR they are targeting. 24 to SF for 30 and 94 much like the year we traded back for Big Snack.

Massie has started for 3 years in the SEC. He would have a year to learn behind Colon then our tackles are taken care of for a long time.

4/6/12: Massie has quietly moved up draft boards. He had a decent Combine but reportedly had an impressive pro day. Some believe he could crack the first round but should go in the top half of the second round. It wouldn't be a complete shock if a team takes him over Adams.

Massie had some quality games this season, but did not have his best performance against Alabama. He did well in run blocking in 2011. Massie is too strong to be bull rushed, and he has the athletic ability to mirror well in pass blocking.

Massie is still a little raw and could use more experience and development. There are stretches where he simply overwhelms defenders. Massie looks like he is a future starter at right tackle in the NFL.
