Supporting the Phils guarantees a fan long life.
And a normal blood pressure reading.
I'm living on the edge with the Irish and risking life and limb regardless of the outcome.
Coming up on around 2 hrs to kickoff and all my neighbors have left town for the evening for their own personal safety.
As usual I'll be avoiding sharp objects.

I agree, the Sox are done, the Rays may overtake them actually.
ND is looking much better this week, Rees looks way better than Crist did. Iowa looked so pathetic today, outcoached in every facet and just didn't execute whatsoever, and our kicker, pathetic as well, he can boom a 50 yard field goal but can't get a touchback, heck he can't even get one inside the 5. Iowa goes 6-6. |

It was a very exciting game the Irish should have won but the pass secondary failed at the end.
The refs missed the proper spot on a Denard Robinson run by 2 yards. Resulting in a key 1st down. The main takeaway is that ND is back and very competitive. ND football is fun but painful to experience last night. |

bad-that robinson first down call was a joke. he was never close to the spot and the defense pushed him back past the line of scrimmage. mich's first td was a joke too,. knee and elbow down and out of bounds and still a td. nd's redzone offense stinks! too many turnovers. should've scored atleast 3 more times. should be 2-0. this bunch is turning the ball over and thus are 0-2.

cat-The Irish excell at finding ways to lose. The unhappy string will continue against the Spartans. It's a cardiac event being Brian Kelly. Sadness is not a positive emotion after the game clock sings to the fat lady. Thank God the curse of the Irish eases the gloom. If ND continues to fail I may have to go into rehab. |

Under no circumstances call the Middlesex NJ Donut King. ND's rep is toxic enough.
Saux continue their annual Sept tradition of choking in the last 10 games. The Pats show the world who will win Super Bowl Forty Six. |

Iowa goes 6-6How can one loss change your expectations so much? That Michigan-Notre Dame game was incredibly exciting........played by two very average teams. |

mags-they should be 2-0! 10 turnovers already is the difference. i was hoping they would go 10-2 this year. this team now may not win a game with the turnovers in the redzone.

I was talking about Hawkeye's expectations for Iowa. He was all gung-ho, but then they lose a game and he suddenly is saying they're a .500 team. Although 6 wins makes them bowl eligible!!! lol.

Actually Lil - I was thinking an 8-4 season, but that was counting a win at ISU, with that loss, they go 7-5 and I am guessing they lose to Pitt this week which I had as a win as well so 6-6. There are guys on the Iowa boards that think they will still go 10-2. I never thought that this year. Too much attrition for that. I had counted on our Qb to play well as well and our defense stunk. Plus Catfish is rubbing off on me.
This week, ND loses to MSU and Iowa loses to Pitt. Work stinks too, just tired, need a week off to sleep. |

Losing to Pittsburgh would be bad. At least the ISU game was at Ames.

Catfish - not wishing them a loss, just being practical. Mich St is ranked # 15, ND is not ranked nor should be at this time. Cousins is a much better QB than either Tommy or Crist. The MSU running attack should also aid their offense. MSU is more of a pro style offense though so it should be a different game. You have to be practical as well.
Iowa faces Pitt who has the nation's leading rusher so far. I haven't checked out Pitt's first two opponents but traditionally Iowa has been good against the run. Then again, this is a different team with lots of inexperience so who knows. I can see Pitt beating Iowa sad as it is to say. |

And never at home? You have a very short memory, my friend. MSU beat the Irish 4 times in a row sometime in the early 2000s. |

Employers have employees by the ballz right now because the economy sucks. A lot of people are just itching to leave their current employer. And they will......but not until things get better. Unfortunately, that might take a couple years.

All forms of employment are laden with politics nepotism favorites and backbiters. The biggest source of frustration is caused by so called colleagues. The American economy is in a stall because most management is substandard. The big trap is the difficulty in getting a better job. Go Irish, beat MSU. |

Hey folks.
What do you think of Syacuses chances against USC? I would love to see the Orange suprise everyone with a left coast victory but it is highly unlikely. It will be difficult for The Cuse to fly across the country and beat a team with better atheletes but anything is possible. Go SU! |
