I came up to the rear of Suzanne as we entered the LA Convention Center together walking up a staircase.
She was in her prime and we struck up a light conversation.
It was a pharmaceutical convention and Suzanne was representing a firm who had a treatment for childhood bedwetting.
She was a bedwetter as a young girl.
When I ran into her again on the convention floor I dropped everyting I was doing to gain her presence.
Of course nothing happened but suffice it to say I was madly in love with her and would have done anything she wanted.
End of story. A haemless flirtation and instant animal attraction.
She is a very delightful person.

yeah I was not thrilled with Worley's loss, nor Beckett's loss...in the case of the Phillies, you actually have to get your team on the field.  Lazy butt Howard, your ankle has a boo boo, suck it up pal, this is why you get paid more in a year than I will in a lifetime.  Red Sox need to get heads out of cavities and do anything.

At least football is here.

I thoroughly enjoyed Thor, Captain America and even Green Lantern, but then I grew up reading these comics and to see a decent representation of them in live action form was a thrill.  I have to admit to also seeing the Smurfs with my 8 year old...watched the early Smurf cartoons in the early 80's as a kid...movie was better than I thought it would be.

As for Lil, I think she is just playing with you all cause you just jump at it.
That's most of it.  ND fans are particularily touchy.  It's getting harder and harder for them to act like ND has rules and principles that are more stringent than the rest of the NCAA.  Michael Floyd is a shining example of that.  No way he plays ten years ago.

The first two games have left them with no wiggle room, but they will cash a big check if they win out.  And then they will most likely lose because they'll be playing a superior opponent.  That's the down side of the Notre Dame BCS exception.

The upside, obviously, is a truck load of money they don't have to share with anyone.

I don't know when the current contract (agreement??) ends, but it will be interesting to see if ND is able to keep that clause in there.

hmm - like maurice clarett should've have played 10 years ago??

hmm - like lawrence should've  played for the national title 16 years ago ? i think you are forgetting some bad people mags. so floyd likes to drink too much? he's not a criminal like these 2 bums are.

The first two games have left them with no wiggle room, but they will cash a big check if they win out.  And then they will most likely lose because they'll be playing a superior opponent.

who?
the top 10 hasn't shown me anything so far. no one is running away with it right now.

**if ND didn't lose those first 2 games, they would be ranked in the top 12 due to losses of other ranked teams 15 and under. and let me tell you as a ND fan...ND undefeated (lets say if) is not that impressive either.

s a truck load of money they don't have to share with anyone.

I don't know when the current contract (agreement??) ends, but it will be interesting to see if ND is able to keep that clause in there.

that was the old deal. ND forfeited that deal years ago. the old deal was lets say they play miami in the orange bowl and the purse was $10 mil. ND got $5 mil all to themselves. Miami gets $2.5 and the ACC gets $2.5. Now use the same scenario ... due to the ranking ND must be to play in a BCS bowl #8 and under  or  a top #12 ranking overall  to play in a new years bowl game--they would get $3 mil of that pot and the team and conference get the rest. How the hell did the ND athletic director agree to that is beyond me, so ND is not robbing the pot anymore.

and here's a quick story for you. in 1989, Randy Moss applied to ND. lou holtz begged the administration to let him in. they said "he's so below our academic standards, we can't go that low." so moss applied to florida st. they told bobby bowden the same thing and FSU takes everyone. that's how dumb and how bad moss' scores were. so ND does have some morals. go ask ohio state and nebraska if they have morals ?

i know the phils have nothing to play for, but don't lose to these stiff nationals 3 in a row. doc and lee blew their chances for the cy young as kershaw has 20 wins and a era that matches lee and doc. and worley hasn't won in a month, so there goes his chances for the ROY. come on guys - win with some dignity will you and don't lay down for these teams like st. louis like a bunch of dogs or bad!

Cat,
Don't fret about the Phils; they'll be in the WS.
As sure as kevlar in Vick's helmet.
It's the last day of summer and the stinkbugs are out in full force in Joisey.

Catfish - Your examples make my point exactly.  They're all from an era at ND that doesn't exist anymore.  Don't get me wrong.  ND is a great school.  And I know from experience (2nd hand knowledge) that they make their players go to class and get the work done.  They'll give the player help from a tutor 24/7 if necessary, but the player has to get the job done in the classroom.  I think it's safe to say that's not done everywhere.  BUT, 10 or more years ago, Notre Dame WOULD have kicked out Floyd for violating the Student Conduct Policy (or whatever it's called) because that's what happened to a ND student, athlete or not.

The not sharing I'm talking about is they don't have to split the bowl money with 9 or 10 or 11 other schools from a conference.

Morning folks.

Last week showed the Cuse was not up to the task. Now they are an ACC school Undecided.  The Orange play Toledo this week and that will probably be a challenge seeing as their d seems to be on the weak side. Go Cuse! The Bills are on a roll with a hell of mountain to climb this week.
I'll be happy if they cover, if they can win it out right, the fan wagon will start to fill up. Buffalo is a tough place to play and the Bills usually play the Patriots well in their first meeting and lose. Can't wait to see what they have. Go Bills!

I think Jackson can run on the Pats, but you are right, Brady is going to be too much in the end.  I am just hoping my 4th quarter Hawkeyes show up on Saturday and Mizzou doesn't lose by too much at Oklahoma.  Off to the wife's 20th year reunion this weekend, so I will not get to see much football...Cry

I don't know about Floyd 10 yrs ago. ND is still tough on the players. and again, his drinking was a dui and not a ncaa violation like clarett and phillips' crimes.

they should beat pitt, so im hoping for a 2-2 record.

the phils continue to not care and dump games.

phooey.,
