The Beer Cart League

July 15, 2009 10:13 am

I am behind in my money league for fantasy golf and the segment ends this week so I have to avoid the favorites so I don't duplicate the leaders and can't catch up.  So my less than popular picks are

Henrik "Himmler" Stenson
Ian "Fleming" Poulter
Luke "Skywalker" Donald
Dustin "Hoffman" Johnson
Michael "Corleone" Campbell

Wish me luck, it's worth about $125.

Had to drag out my dartboard this week & came up with Stenson, Kaymer, McDowell, Jiminez & Duval. Tough choices this week considering there's not much to pick from in the under $100k categories.

Prev, this must be your lucky week. You not only got Jimenez, you got me in fbb. McDowell was a good pick too.

Every dog has its day! Smile

Hmmm thought I got my azz handed to me by our lone Female last week LOL!

McDowell's a dark horse pick but maybe a good one. He's the lone Scot in the field & has played Turnberry. We'll have to see how that one rolls out...

I'm NOT confident with that pick.

Heh heh heh - looks like I got lucky with the golf picks (more so in the Yahoo league with 4 in top 20 - Furyk, Westwood, Jimenez & Kaymer) but you're sure fixing my clock in fbb. 2 pitchers left to your 5 & my 3rd gave me a double digit in the minus column. Dropped the ball there.

Mine (in the Yahoo league):

T4 Jimenez
T12 Kaymer
T12 Furyk
T12 Westwood

Jimenez & Kaymer are my only two picks contending in our CBS league. Another major failure lol. Down to Nadsless's level I go!

Have you guys seen Speed and Angels ? It's like Top Gun - only real. If you haven't, you should.
I'm probably off for a hike at Lake Tahoe (no, not IN Lake Tahoe) for the next few days.
I'll talk at you guys when I get back.

I'm back already. Decided to skip the gambling this time - I've already donated more than my share. If I had known the American Century Championship was held over the weekend I would have gone up there sooner. I could have talked some strategy for the up-coming season with Tony Romo (he finished second to Rick Rhoden).

Hey, Nadster, you could have asked Romo what really happened with Jessica.

But back to golf, I am going for middle-of-the-road golfers this week.  Here's my studly lineup:

Brandt "Redhead" Snedekker
John "Challenger" Mallinger
Brian "Ozzie" Davis
Bo "Knows" Van Pelt
Charlie "Wi" Wi

And yes, I do giggle a little every time I use "Wi" Wi.

Nadsless, thought you went for a hike. I never would have put hiking & casinos in the same category. Wink

On to golf, my trusty dartboard came up with Goosen, Weir, Goggin, Garrigus & Levin. Read it & weep. Tongue out

I did go hiking but it's usually customary (mandatory for some) to donate to the casinos in town before leaving Lake Tahoe . Btw - I get $1 for every click on the Lake Tahoe hyperlink.

Another rainy golf tournament?Standard operating procedure, yes! My picks that will prevail in this weeks rain fest are Luke Donald, Steve Marino,Scott Verplank,Greg Owen, and Chris Dimarco. Good thing the golf tornament has already started or everybody would be trying to steal my winning team. LOL Is it Football season yet. My golf luck is is the drink.
