Good Tuesday Morning GB10, last day of school for the kids has them happier than Dave at a free AYCE buffet

I watched the Kings dominating victory over the Devils and the Thunder holding off the Spurs...both games were very entertaining and saved me the aggravation of having to watch Josh Willingham and Justin Morneau hit HRs for Frank.  I read an excellent article over at ESPN on the LA Kings and their only other Stanley Cup appearance (had forgotten how long ago that was and that the Canadiens had beaten them 4 straight after losing the first game) and will be very happy when they secure the first title in team history.  As for the Thunder, I'm just amazed at how many contested shots they were able to make...if they hadn't turned the ball over (looking at you Westbrook) so frequently, they would have easily won by double digits.

So Frank catches a big break when Starlin Casto forgets how many outs there are and doesn't turn an inning ending double play which allows the game-tying run to score in the 5th inning.  The Giants end up getting another run which gives Ryan Voglesong the win and combined with Morneau and Willingham now he has a 30+ point lead...only saving grace was Santiago Casilla didn't get the save opportunity and Mark Trumbo struck out 4 times.

I expect our 4 collective pitching matchups today will go a long way to deciding which team will be victorious...I have Cliff Lee vs Dodgers and Ricky Romero @ White Sox vs Frank's Drew Smyly vs Indians and Brad Lincoln @ Reds

Luckily for Fred, Lincoln has been pushed back to tomorrow. I lose a start. Oh Well. Romero will stink it up today. Book it!

Don't sweat it though. I jumped on Bib at ESPN in a much worse fashion than my other two opponents. There were only 7 games yesterday. I had 6 batters, 2 starters, and 2 relievers.  They put up 6runs, 3homers, 9 ribbies, a .365, a win, a save, 1.76 and 1.17, and 16 strikeouts. His beatdown will be of EPIC    I mean Estle proportions.   

I hadn't seen Brad Lincoln having his start today pushed back, but you're the Pirates fan so I'll take you at your word and if you thin for one minute that Ricky Romero will do worse than Drew Smyly, then we might have a second bet to consider.

 

Speaking of Estle, is he actively managing his team or should we just assume that he is the Doormatt of this league?

We stand corrected, we don't play the undefeated team until next week.  Oh well, we'll be ready for them.  In the meantime, we are losing to this week's opponent by 10pts but none of our pitchers played yesterday and one of theirs did.  So we expect to overtake them in a day or 2.
