That's why (even though it's Texas A&M) I'm glad my son is going to try and get into the Corps of Cadets and then commission as an officer in the Army....better than following my footsteps enlisting.  College degree early and then experience from the military.  It took me 17 years to get my head outta you know where and get into college while I was still on active duty.  Got my degree right as I was retiring and it all worked out for the job I'm at now.....but it took a lot of luck and Stars lining up right....LOL

Yeah, I know I missed out on some things during my college days. I could have worked the Master's things like that while at USC but I ended up doing alright internship-wise i think.

and yeah Val it does but not "years" of experience like these "entry level" positions are asking for lol

Ive allowed myself to accept the fact that Ill probably have to basically be a telemarketer for a couple of years. Meet or exceed quotas... then try to get the jobs I want.


Not that Im going to stop applying for them. My resume/cover letter has been enough to get me interviews with 2 pro teams so no need to stop there.

Hopefully you can get something soon!  I presume you have student loans that'll expect payment soon?

Sooner than they should because Im supposed to get 6 months off post graduation but see I signed up for my internship for spring semester of 2011 because it was 6 credits... and I needed 12 to  be full time, but only needed 3 more classes (9 credits) rather than take an extra class. I took 3 classes and had the internship fill out the rest of the full time requirements for my scholarship. 

I had a year to do the internship through school rules and didnt have one ready by the time the semester started. plan was to do it in the summer but basically the loan people, as far as they are concerned I was unenroled as of May 2011

My first student loan payment was due Christmas day. but I got a deferment...

Bib I could have gotten you a job on the Keystone pipeline, but Obama says they need to do more research on whether or not we should be using our own domestic natural resource.  It's been under research for 3 years now and the existing 250,000 miles of pipelines through that area have had ZERO spills or bad effects.


Don't know if you enjoy laying pipe, but it could have been a possibility.
