Wow I can not believe how many people are putting RG3 so high on their boards. jamey and richards have him ranked near 15th. They are pegging him as the next Cam Newton, Big mistake!

Personally I think this guy will be good. More weapons than Cam. If Helu gets the starting gig he is great out of the backfield.

Tell you what Foot, you pick the round. I will draft RGIII in the same round as you draft T-Hill in our MBBRL draft. If T-Hill is not named starter or either is drafted before said round all bets are off..................then I would be scrambling for a QB and you would still be able to draft T-Hill in the 14th.............maybe not such a good bet for me. Let me know what you think.

Well Sam, right now it is looking like RG3 is getting a much higher grade than Thill although I am assuming it is because people think he will be like Cam Newton which I will say agian he will not. But none the less if I draft Thill it will be in the much later rounds and I am assuming that RG3 will be foolishly picked much higher than that.  So I am not sure I understand your terms for this bet.

OK, so before the draft you declaire what round you would pick T-Hill in (by private message to me). I will then target RGIII in that same round. If either player is drafted higher than the round you declaired obviously the bet would be off. IMO that is putting your money where your mouth is (for both of us) as I do believe RGIII will be a top 15 QB this year and pretty easily. We can talk about players all day but in the end the only way to prove how much you like a guy is to draft him. Now if you tell me you are gonna take T-Hill in the 12th-14th rounds then I would probably have to call BS as you really wouldn't be risking anything.

Now, my question to you is why do you think Cam is so much better than RG3? I will admit the one thing Cam has over RG3: Cam has one year under his belt and RG3 does not (pretty obvious I know). But when you look at the weapons each has at his disposal I gotta give the edge to RG3. Add the fact that they can both run well (understatement) I wouldn't be suprised to see RG3 have a great rookie season. I'm not going to go all OOAL here and say RG3 has a better season than Cam but it would not suprise me if he did. That being said just let me know if you want to make that bet and PM me the round and we can see what we can come up with. Maybe we can get Will to come up with some kind of prediction game right here on the message board and keep track of some of the stuff we come up with.

with RGIIIs potential to have a similar season to cam (doubt he matches passing yds or total TDs, but should get more rushing yds - I think he has a couple steps on cam) there is no reason he shouldnt be ranked around 15th. Remember, Cam put up legit, QB1 stats last season, so ranking RGIII as one of the top QB2s doesnt seem like that big of a stretch to me.

What if he is better than Cam? experts are going to hedge their bets on RGIII by keeping him moderately ranked. That way, if he goes off, then they can say, 'well I saw the potential there, but didnt realize he would outperfrom his ranking by this much.' Adversely, if he fails to score a lot of pts  then they can say 'I didnt think he would come near to Cam's totals, and thats why they ranked him outside of the top 12 to begin with.' That only leaves RGIII having a mediocre season (from fantasy persepective), and then 15th would be pretty spot on.

Seems like a safe bet, and I am personally projecting RGIII to be one of the top QB2s drafted, cause out of 10 or 12 owners, someone will have a weaker QB1 and be willing to take the risk that he turns out like Cam. At least that is the only way Id draft him, he should be a nice compliment to Roethlisberger/Schaub owners. If Vick, Romo, and Eli are considered starting options, I doubt anything is happening in the NFC East that would prevent RGIII from also becoming a starting option, even if it is only as a spot starter

They're very different players, but here is one thing Cam has all over RGIII: he's much, much bigger. When Cam gets sandwiched between a couple of linebackers all they do is slow him down a little in the hopes some third or fourth guys can come in and finish the tackle. RG3 is wiry, and sometimes runs into traffic, so I worry at the pro level that if he gets sandwiched by a couple of linebackers it won't be pretty.

RGIII may be asked to really pick his spots to run, and rely instead on his better accuracy, especially in the first few games.

First I'll address the Cam - RG3 comparison. First Wil i agree with all the points you made. Cam is Bigger.  But the main reason why I think RG3 will not be a great QB. And why Cam Newton will go down in History as posibly one of the best. Cam is quite/cool. He knows he is bigger, faster, smarter and very important more stronger willed and confident than any guy he faces on the opposing defence.  RG3 is a panicy, impulsive, pressured type of QB. he will not adjust and he will struggle like Vince Young has. Cam newton is on another planet. People who think RG3 is from the same mold as Newton are going to be sadly mistaken. I feel bad for anyone who invests too highly in RG3.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Now to SAm. Sam the reason why your bet makes no sence is because most people dispite what I say are going to draft RG3 much higher than Thill. So, it would be encreadablly stupid of me to take Thill early when I know most people won't even draft him. I don't think anyone in our league would touch him until the 14th round so I am not going to jump the gun when i know I can get him or steal him in the last round or near there.

Fair enough Foot.........but of course I have something else to say (and I'll use an example). There are 2 WR's I have slated as top 5 IMO. I have not seen either of these guys in anybody else's top 5. Hell, not sure anybody else has either of them in the top 10 (maybe one of these guys will slide into somebody's top 10 but not too many). Therefore, I am targeting these guys and will draft them accordingly. They will probably end up with an ADP in the middle 3rd to 5th rounds. Well, depending on where I draft and who I draft in the first 2 rounds, I would draft each one of these guys with my next 2 picks if they were there for me. All I'm saying is you keep talking about how good T-Hill is gonna be maybe you should draft him. I'm not saying in the first rounds but if you truly believe he is that good then..................draft him! Rank him and draft him where you have him ranked.

Sam your point is not being missed. When Chris Johnson first was a rookie, I was so enamered with him i drafted him in the third round. i was laughed at but I did the laughing last that year cuase i won the championship and 2500 bucks. I have no problem drafting a guy way higher than he is ranked if i love him. But I know for a fact no one in our league will draft Thill before a certain round so I am not going to draft him way higher than i would if I knew there was someone  else in love with him as much as me. I also have my eyes set on Cam and Flacco so if I get one of those guys first i can take even more risk when it comes the deciding what round to pull the trigger on Thill.

Sammy let's just wager like Wil and I. We go head to head . You taje RG3 and I take THill and we do and average. this way if THill only plays half the season we can still match him up with RG3's average QB with the higher points per game average according to our leagues scoring system wins the bet. So what are the stakes. Considering you allready owe me a six pack of coke from when I schooled you LT when you though Greene wouls be better and I told you that LT would eb better and could be had for about 7 rounds cheaper. So let's not make it another six pack of Coke. How about since my avitar is all ready on the line with Wil instead the loser has to finish every post they make from the end of fantasy football season till the first day off the season the next year with the Phrase: The Foot is smarter than I or if you win Sam is smarter than I. Evey post must end with this phase on every post you make.

No actually in all fairness. Your guy is the odds on favorite to beat out my guy so in fact to truly be fair I should get more if I win. I should own your avitar and make you say after every post. "The Foot is my leader" but I won't ask you to put up your avitar. If I win though I would like you to say after each post. "The Foot is, and will always be the greatest fantasy football player predictor, trust me Sam!"
