Snappers are actually pretty docile in the water. I've swam right up next to some monsters while scuba diving and they generally couldn't care less. If disturbed by swimmers they usually make a panicked dive for bottom rather than trying to bite.
On land, however, it's another story. They're easily agitated and can be quite dangerous and will snap away at whatever is frightening them.
If you really want to see some big snappers take a weekend trip down to the bayous in Louisiana or Mississippi (you still live in St. Louis, right?) and have a local guide take you out and find some alligator snappers. They make our biggest snappers up here look like toys. They're quite litterally the size of a small dinner table.
Interestingly enough, the biggest snapping turtle I ever saw was also in Canada. My old man and I were fishing for muskie on White lake and saw a duck flapping away and making a huge commotion on the surface amongst some lilly pads. We motored over to see what all the fuss was about and a giant snapper had the duck by the foot. The turtle eventually tried for a better grip and the duck excaped, but man that turtle's head was almost the size of the entire duck!
Some moron hired my buddy to tend bar. Bad move. This emmeffer somehow ran his till 4000 bones over. I've got some serious work to do. But I locked the door. And turned down the juke. Evidently doobers are on the way as well. (for the cadiansoutthere). Shit****s about to get wild.
I only wish more than 7 hot chicks were still in this bar.
Cliff Avril can eat a dick by the way.
Odoyle rules!
QB is solid as can be, mattys a pimp and Shaun Hill could duel with any team in the league on any day, but needs a lil help.
RB is obviously our weak link, but that could be greatly improved with mikell leshoure coming out the woodwork, im not sold on Jahvid Best and Kevin Smith as much as i used to be, but still if they can maintain a run game between them im happy uz our passing game is top notch. is Aaron Brown still around?
WR solid obviously, Calvin Johnson is the best and is gonna peak this year, burleson is still our number 2 and hes still good, he misses like 20% of his catches, but hes a coach to these young guys and hes consistent, Titus Young and Ryan Broyles are in battles for that last spot with a few young guys in the mix too, i wanna see what rattles out of that cage.
TE the best kept secret in the league and there 3rd year in a row together, scheffler and pettigrew are almost certain to do cause chaos
D-LINE best in the league argueably and solid in depth as well, sammie hill and Nick Fairley are starters on any team in the league and there are backup DT's for the haters who go'ne hate, and then you got legendary KVB with whoever backs up Willie Young and Ronnell Lewis, hopefully the whiny baby avril plays for measly 10.5 million, poor guy i mean he has carried the team by himself the Lions were nothing before he came along<<<sarcasm, i think zwic or max could man that position next to Ndamukong Suh and corey willams and at least get 1 sack in a season.
CB Chris Houston, and after that we all know we need bentley and Jacob Lacey to step up. we need 4 corners so hopefully we get lucky and somehow Alphonso Smith learns how to run faster or someone else needs to run faster cause we need 4 corners, not just 3.
S Amari Spievey, obviously our glaring weakness, and hes a starter on half the teams in the NFL, and the pro bowler Louis Delmas batting cleanup.
Jason Hanson all time points leader int he NFL, prolly a hall of famer, and of course nick donahue right
seriously fellas...seriously...where have we come aS A society today, come at me im a man, im 40....lol...OMG just watched mike gandy, that shit**** never gets old
