Simple Jack, the reason I'm not taking your bet isn't because it's not fair, it's because the Lakers are much more of an unsure thing, as compared to the Heat. The fact that the Lakers are only now coming together doesn't give me anywhere near the requisite sample size to know whether or not they're truly in a position to contend. The Heat, on the other hand, are the top seed in their conference and the "defending champs" ... so, and on that basis, I deem your bet to be a bad bet for me. Hence my unequivocal "NO"...so stop asking. I still think they can be a dangerous team, but the truth is we really won't know how dangerous until they can get some quality road wins under their belts and figure out a way to effectively re-integrate Pau Gasol into the lineup. Of course NONE of this diminishes my contention that the Heat are "One And Done"...so, on that note, I'm happy that you've joined your fellow Heat fans trolling this "Heat Haters" club thread on that bet!
