What if you promise your kid on Monday that you will take him/her somewhere on the weekend, but then when the weekend comes you have a bad fever and can't go?  Did you lie to your kid, or did the circumstances force you to not live up to the INTENT of your words? 


Now, some promises don't fall into that realm, there is no grey area (like honoring a wager).

When you have a healthy Wade playing at this level combined with James, you are seeing the most talented 1-2 duo of all time IMO.


I guess he made Barkley (and myself) eat our words. He is looking every bit as good as his 06' Finals MVP level.         

Haven't checked in here in a while.  Lots of posts about bets and how great the Heat are.

Speaking of sickening, the local media in Cleveland has been saying that Kyrie Irving will leave if we don't get LeBron.  That's kind of sad, because in my opinion there is absolutely no chance that LeBron has any real intentions of ever coming back to Cleveland.  James or his handlers shed that ill-advised 'villain' image for the betterment of his brand, that's all.

One thing that kept the Heat hate alive was the hope that LeBron would never win a championship in Miami.  When he did, albeit in a shortened season, Heat/LBJ hate has subsided around here to the point where some local sports media are openly hoping James comes back.  I think a lot of fans are hopeful too.  But personally I think there's ZERO chance and LeBron is just playing a PR game for his brand.

I think James might have been ,some day, open to the idea. However, as long as Gilbert is the owner, it will never happen.
