"yes, but the point(which YOU so "eargerly" decided to chime in on) was ...according to Turnip...this was the Heat's "A" game...which is GARBAGE..."

Well I have to thank you then, CL, for pointing out just how impressive the Miami Heat bludgeoning of the Warriors truly was. They just blew the doors of a solid western conference playoff team without even playing their 'A' game offensively. Up by THIRTY after three quarters and they didn't even shoot the ball very well. I am glad that you took time to point that out to everyone. That's not very "Heat Hater"-ish of you, though. I thought you were dedicated to making them look as bad as possible?

Good job, CL!

ho-hum. yeah, that's what i did...Undecided

btw, they ALREADY look bad. it isn't that i have to "dedicate" myself to anything. it's THEM who decided to be a bunch of egotistical jerks and offend my sensibilities...THEREFORE the hate. but tell ya what, twocoach, let's see that shooting percentage win them a title. THEN you can run your dumb flap...

"No turnip, I think the Lakers have started to gel because Dwight Howard is finally rounding into form and is almost 100% coming back from his back surgery, and Kobe is making an adjustment in his defensive philosophy playing more on-ball defense while making a concerted effort to sacrifice some of his energy on offense so that he can shut down his man"
Perhaps, but time will tell. It was still homes games againt 2 EC non playoff teams.

I do agree that Kobe needs to use more energy on defense and more rely on others for offense.  Why it took 1/2 the season to figure it out boggles the mind.
As Howard nears 100% recovery from the back injury, and regains his explosiveness in the paint, he becomes that much more capable of helping to carry the offense.  This, in turn, allows Kobe to re-prioritize his game...not so mind-boggling really.

i expect Miami to win tonight (as i do most nights).   even on the second night of a back to back, we should win.   we have the best player on the court (yea, i said it)...  wade usually plays very well against kobe.. Lakers also still somewhat banged up.    we win tonight.   i am offering everyone a money back guarantee.

Metta World Peace will be the deciding factor.

Plus how are the Heat, in the bottom 4 in total rebounds, going do as you are not facing the Warriors big men as Crissy Bosh spice goes away. Just like he does vs the Bukks. In the 48-28 total boards game in Miami.

DVR it. Win win if I see it later. Lakers win and the doinking around continues but the Cry footage won't be available if Spazz isn't that stupid again. Hope Dwhine throws another cheap shot if Lakers are up and being taunted by Jack in the crowd, If the Heat win then I win by gaining the 1 1/2 hour of not watching.

Go Lakers!

I hate the fact that the Heat are considered the favorites, they won't win multiples.  They will never compete with the Bulls of the 90's, too many stars not enough role players.

Howard also looked good in some of the early games.  So his back hurts when he plays bad, but not when he plays good?

Fact of the matter is he hurts his chances many nights by commiting stupid fouls, then combine it with the often scene scenario of Kobe not involving him, and those are the real reasons for his inconsistancies.  IF Kome turnes into Kobe, Howard will be better, more involved, more focused, and your results will be obviously be better.

"according to Turnip...this was the Heat's "A" game...which is GARBAGE..."

I told you (after the fact) that I watched 1.5 qtrs.

This morning I saw they took a 30 point lead into the 4th qtr and were able to sit the Big 3 the entire 4th.

If they were flawed and dominated a very good team that easily without playing their A game, I say GREAT.

What you are saying is you know they have an A game and are capeable of playing better then they have.

I agree.

"...ya think?  You don't think they'd prefer to fall back into doinking mode???  Way to hedge your bet there turnip and protect yourself either way, dufus"

Jefe, I'm not hedgeing anything. It isn't like I am saying the Lakers are any sort of lock. I picked them to win becasue I feel they have to bring their A++ game. This game is HUGE to the Lakers in many different was.  If I had to put a % on it, I would say Lakers 55 Heat 45. A Heat win CERTAINLY wouldn't surprise me. Wen I said 8-8 for the Lakers this month, I knew I wouldn't be correct every game but I honestly picked theom.  Didn't I pick Philly to win in LA? I also picked LA to win in Houston (a team I havenever been sold on).

If the Lakers don't and their fans don't bring 48 minutes worth of focus and energy into this game, and WIN, then I will know more then ever that you are more than likely not even a playoff bound team.

Do you remember when the Lakers visited Miami 2 years ago?  The Lakers were rolling and the Heat had been losing. I think 5 in a row.

The Heat and their fans played that game like it was game 7 of the Finals and found a way to win.    That was the game that lead to Kobe midnight shooting session after Wade locked him down in the 2nd half.

I expect that type of effort from LA tonight. I HOPE to see that type of effort from the Heat, but with them, who knows?  Knowing them, they might be more focused on their upcoming Monday night Battioke performances and the next  5 days off.

Lakers are not back as I already knew.

Beating Milwaukee and Cleveland doesn't mean you turned it around.

Wade and James beat the Lakers on their own.

Wow, Lebron was awesome tonight.

That was probably his absolute best game of the season.

He played smothering defense, ran the offense, and scored the basketball better than he has since the playoffs last season

The diffrence between him and the 2nd best player on the court tonight was glaring.

It was a reminder of how truly dangerous the Heat can be when Lebron turns it up.

I dont know why the Heat seem dis-interested at times, but......

WOW, That was an MVP statement game for Lebron.

I wouldn't say he isn't a good defender, but definitely not all NBA defensive team that some people want you to believe. Going 8-25 with 6 turnovers and 1 assist is definitely not helping your team win.

I love watching Wades running floaters. (Random thought)

How does a team with Dwight Howard at center allows 68 points in the paint?

I thought he was suppose to protect the paint?

dwight sucks. all u have to do is front him. he has no offensive skills other than a few dunks. he is no shaq. it is not difficult to win against that brokeback center.

im glad spoelstra played Joel Anthony and did not go small ball all the way. he also used defensive sets and lineups. we werent looking to score, we actually played man to man defense the entire game. laid many traps. thats good. exhausting but good. then again when it becomes a defensive game, the true stars shine. and that was lebron and wade. despite the defense played by both teams, the winner came from players who were unselfish and had better vision. 39 points from lebron is NOTHING. its the 8 assist, the passes and the set plays he engineered. he was angry at joel anthony for not rolling to the basket. JOEL ANTHONY! that lebron makes other players better. next possession, joel anthony was at the foul line. sure he didnt shoot well on free throws but lebron made joel anthony PARTICIPATE. u cannot say the same for kobelina or even nash who seemed confused.

"time to make up another imaginary start to the season.   "

No playoffs for this years Lakers edition.  This upcoming road trip will more then likely be fatal.

It's easy to get fired up and bring alot of energy when your home staring at the Heat on the schedule.

Not so easy on an extended road trip.

Anyway, the Heat shot horrible but as in any sport, defense can keep you in a game.

Having LeBro James on your team doesn't hurt your chances either.
