Question.. How does CBS expect a new member to get a higher reputation... You already have us broken up in groups by when we signed up....
he cap is still at fifty, with no immediate plans to change anything. It's not an error or a glitch related to the redesign, but something that has been in the works for a while. This change was supposed to take effect last year, but seems to have been implemented only now. The limit is to speed up database access, is what I've been told.
If you're currently below 50 favorites and still have trouble adding, try waiting for the system to recognize the add. Sometimes, it takes a while to process.
I agree that a fifty, even a 100 favorites limit is severely limiting. We definitely hear your concerns and sympathize with them. That's why we're fighting for you on this, just like we did the quicklinks removal and just like we did when they took away the message board links on the dropdown menus. Anyone else that shares the concern about the favorites limit should feel free to chime in here, so that we can show this thread to those who make the decisions around here.

Does this mean a certain number of people need to express their frustration before CBS will do anything? That's one way of handling it. They must have consulted with the Toyota people on this one.
The frustrations have been voiced, and I will continue to apologize for this inconvenience. Especially since we have encouraged the act of favoriting as a way to build reputation. I understand that. Changes are still being made, and I have been voicing all the concerns I have heard on the daily basis. I am hopeful we can come to something that will not be overwhelmly restrictive to you guys.
Agreed. I'm just a simple evil clown looking out for the well being of other evil clowns. I would add you to my favorites, but cbs has deemed that I already have enough friends and can't have anymore.
How about CBS limits the number of favorites to 6 and add in a scrolling pop-up the travels diagonally across the screen to go along with the side-to-side and drop down ones....

Seriously RW Chan, I ain't removing favorite 1, even if your improvements have cost me 2 PAGES of people who had favorited me. Good show, what's the next experiment? Black text on a black background? A daily limit on how many 5 stars we can hand out? Replies only allowed in Arabic?
Do the people who impliment these changes think these things through? Or is it some outsourced IT group from India just making random changes that will save CBS a couple cents here and there?

Maybe there are others, but 2 primary explanations pop out here. Either changing it back is too complicated for the IT people at CBS or the honchos responsible for this board don't believe this is something important enough to my bad and then change it back to the way it was.
