hey everyone.. just got to reading and catching up some.. I haven't seen sis on here in a while, does anyone have an update on her?
I would like to ask you guys to continue to pray for my mother. Her eye problem seems to be gettin worse as they have found leakage behind her left eye and she has very very very poor vision in her left eye also.
I left everyone up in prayer and hope that all is doing well... please keep the good work as it is very refreshing to come here and read about how everyone turns the problems to God and to see the awesome effects of prayer..

As always, your mother remains in mine and the others prayers.
Although Sissy still has health issues, the main reason for her absence has been her couselling and witnessing to others. Her free time is almost totally devoted to helping others which gives her limited access to CBS. She's even requested no emails between 5pm and 9pm as EDT as they put a strain on her computer resources.

Amen Gators and Michael, a very good testimony about Wendy. I needed both right now. My son, Adam, is still resisting but is beginning to believe more and more - just hasn't accepted Christ as his Savior yet. We are going to church this evening for the Youth group so he can join. We usually go to the late morning service which is my age and up and that's too old for him although he enjoys it.
Tiger, I will continue to keep your friend's dad and him in my prayers.
Lord, you know our needs before we even do. Please bless each person on this thread and bestow miracles upon each one. Help us in your ministry to all we meet and please touch their lives through us. In Jesus name, Amen.

Lord, please protect Marques' mother and heal her vision as it is your will. You are the Healer and by our faith in you, we are healed. Lord, thank you for healing me in such a miraculous way and I know firsthand how you can heal others. Strengthen Marques' mother's faith that her eyesight can be restored. Hey guys, it's been a tough week for me. I was let go from my job last week and luckily my wife was able to substitute teach every day. Right now I am a stay at home dad with our two beautiful kids. Please pray for us financially. I have been praying for everyone on this board and I hope God blesses everyone

VOD 03/30/09: A Savior And A Servant
Verse:
Isaiah 53:3-4
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and he carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. (NIV)
Thought:
Jesus was everything and became nothing and mankind didn't notice what He did for us. We just assumed He deserved it, and so we did not repent. But there was something about that sacrificial story that grabbed our hearts and called us home. We found in Him not only a Savior, but a servant.
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings. Your plan to redeem us takes our breath away. How and why You chose to take Your precious son and expose Him to such public disgrace we will never comprehend. But this we do know: You love us with an everlasting love. We pledge to You that we will serve You with all of our strength in thanks for His great sacrifice.
We pray these things in the name of Your most Holy Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.

Anita, how has your move gone? Is Adam accepting the new environment? You both are in my prayers. I think consistency and time are the things a young man with his background will need to develop trust. Once that happens, the rest will come. We just need to give the Holy Spirit elbow room to bring him along.
