2010 NCAA DI 16 Team Playoff

Final Week 10 Potential 16 Team Playoff

This is Mock tournament for the NCAA Football Championship I would way prefer to the BCS.   I would make first round games at home on Saturdays for the higher seed and the 2nd round games at the 4 BCS bowl game sites.   The Semi Finals and Final would be rotated amongst the highest bidders.    The other Music City and Poinsetta Bowl, etc  can continue on any other day of the week.

I listed the Seed, Team Name, Conf Record, Overall Record and Invite to Tournament.

#1Auburn  (9-0 13-0 SEC Champ) vs #16 Troy (6-2 7-5 Sun Belt Champ)
#8 Arkansas (6-2 10-2 At Large) vs #9 Michigan St (7-1 11-1 At Large)

#5 Wisconsin (7-1 11-1 B10 Champ) vs #12  Nevada  (7-1 12-1 WAC Champ)
#4 Stanford (8-1 11-1 At Large) vs #13  UCF (8-1 10-3 C USA Champ)

#3 TCU (8-0 12-0 WAC Champ) vs #14 U-Conn (5-2 8-4 Big East Champ)
#6 Ohio St (7-1 11-1 At Large) vs #11 Virginia Tech (9-0 11-2 ACC Champ)

#7 Oklahoma (7-2 11-2 Big 12 Champ) vs #10 Boise St (7-1 11-1 At Large)
#2 Auburn (6-0 10-0 SEC Champ)  vs #15 Miami, OH (8-1 9-4 MAC Champ)

All three Big 10 one loss teams made the tournament, Ohio St and Michigan St at large, Stanford easily made the At Large.
Arkansas and Boise St edged out  LSU, Nebraska, and Missouri.  No seedings were changed to avoid first round matchups from the same conference.

I would like to see this tournament but we will not see it this year, I doubt all the higher seed teams would win, that is for sure and there would be some great football. Who would win? We will never know for sure.

13 of the 16 teams are ranked in the BCS Rankings including
Nevada at #15 and UCF at #25.   U-Conn, Miami, OH and Troy are not ranked by the BCS rankings.
