Verse:

John 13:15
   For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. (KJV)

Thought:

   Here, Jesus was referring to the washing of His disciple’s feet. The point He was trying to make is that no one is better than anybody else. They may hold a loftier position than you but that does not make them a better person than yourself, just one that has had a greater level of success at this point in time. He was saying the most valuable gift you can give to another is an inspirational example. Let your words and actions reflect those our LORD and our Savior in order to glorify the name of God.

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father,
   Thank You for this day and all of Your blessings in our lives. Abba Lord, have Your Holy Spirit make us aware of all we do and say, especially around children, because our actions may have an influence on them. Let us always walk in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus so that we will know our conduct is to be above reproach. May we ever give praise and glory for all that you have done for us.
   We lift our prayers up to You in the Name of Your Son, Jesus the Christ…Amen.
