Baseball and cold beerBaseball and a Cold BeerAre like apple pie and Chevrolet . Ooops, (root for General Motors!) eggs and grits? Have the pie for dessert. Since I'm always low on money and the nearest MLB team, Phillies, Nationals or Braves, is, at best 275 miles away, I like to travel the easy 8 miles to Durham, NC, to watch a game. The DBAP (Durham Bulls Athletic Park) offers some great Baseball played by the Rays AAA International League affiliate. There are at least 10 brews on draft that are available...and they're all cold! I'll usually grab a fresh Bud on the way in. Between the 1st and 2nd innings, I'll run to a convenient (the closest) "watering hole" and cop a cup of a local beverage, or even a Sam Adams Lager. The prices are less than those at a bar or resturant! But, if I had my d'others, a fresh, cold Budweiser, soothes my parched, sore from hollering throat, better than any other "barley-pop", and brings to me even greater pleasures at any Baseball game! I raise a drink to y'all lucky attendees of an MLB game who are holding a cold one. Enjoy! abe.

Baseball and cold beerThere is nothing like the start of a new season of baseball. Everyone's team is still in it and the weather begins to warm up. I love sitting down and watching the Chicago Cubs and drinking Goose Island Honkers Ale. If I am tailgating or at Wrigley, I am an Old Style guy.
